Towards Spatial Justice: Building the Oxfordshire Commons

What would it look like if Oxfordshire was an ecologically safe and socially just space for all, for generations to come? In this session we will take a deep dive into the theory of ‘spatial justice’, ‘the commons’ and ‘commoning’ and explore how these ideas and practices can guide a different form of place shaping. We will draw on the work of Makespace Oxfordshire and groups from Plymouth, Bristol, Hastings and Margate who building new forms of social infrastructure, guided by these practices.
