Facilities Coordinator 

Salary: £30-32k per annum

Contract: permanent, full time or part time (3 days/22.5 hours per week minimum), 

Our Facilities Coordinators take care of our buildings, offering great service to residents, keeping those in our workspaces safe and happy. They oversee the hard and soft services for each building, including service contracts and addressing general maintenance and improvements. This role is based in Oxford, but working at sites county-wide at our hub spaces in Oxford, Abingdon, Wantage and Didcot.

You will be an effective collaborator, good at listening, understanding people’s needs and responding positively.  You will be good at working with competing demands and comfortable with high levels of autonomy.

Artist Call-Out For A New Civic Space On George Street 

Makespace Oxford is looking for a locally based artist to work with us on visually activating the new civic space for communities on George Street, due to open in 2027. 

As part of this commission, we are looking for a local artist/ designer/ illustrator to create a series of illustrations that will complement the broader community engagement of the project led by Makespace Oxford.

The artwork is to be used to attach a visual identity between this project over the next three years before the site is delivered in late 2027 (expected), working with the Community Architect and alongside the Community Advisory Board to inform a planning consent, with expected submission due in June 2024.

The total project fee is £1200 (including design, meetings and on-site time). Designs are to be shared before Wednesday, 19th June, with final design submission by Monday, 24th June.
