Day 12 of our ‘12 Days of Impact’ 🎉

Last but by no means least, today we are celebrating the huge milestone of housing 100 organisations and supporting or creating 200 jobs through the ‘Meanwhile in Oxfordshire…’ programme.

This county-wide initiative was developed to reanimate underused space in our urban centres, but it has done far more than that. Read all about it in our latest press release with the Oxford City Council, now available on our blog page (link in bio)

The ‘Meanwhile in Oxfordshire…’ programme was developed by Oxford City Council, with funding secured by @oxlep from the central government’s Getting Building Fund.⁠

We could not have reached this milestone without the support, enthusiasm and grit of our partners, funders, friends, residents and local community. Thank you.

Day 11 of our '12 Days of Impact' is celebrating the launch of the Future Thinking Together solidarity series.⁠

⁠These free sessions are dedicated to opening up access to resources and space in precarious times and building new forms of mutual support and solidarity, with a focus on welcoming Global Majority and working class-led groups and freelancers.

The first session was led by Makespace directors Nigel Carter and Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani, also from Oxford Community Action and YWMP. Thanks to all who attended and contributed! Stay tuned for more.⁠
